Pulmonary Embolism


NEW YORK - The tennis star Serena Williams was an "emergency" on Monday, when doctors discovered a blood clot in the lungs, People magazine.

The spokeswoman Nicole Chabot told the magazine that Williams "will soon have to treat bruising after treatment with the most critical situation."

Williams suffered a pulmonary embolism last week, "said Chabot. 29-year-old Williams had been admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles.
